Directorate of Information Technology (DIT) under Industries & Commerce Department, Govt. of Tripura was formed in the year 1999. With the vision to have a better management of various projects, ‘Tripura State Computerisation Agency (TSCA)” a society under DIT was formed in the year 2001.

To promote efficiency, transparency through e-governance and digital services for citizen empowerment, to strengthen IT/ITeS infrastructural backbone for transition into an digitally empowered State and to harness the strength of IT in driving the growth of the State’s economy, to promote innovations through Start-up, to ensure a secure cyber space and to develop human resource of the State.
Objectives
e-Governance: Providing IT infrastructure for efficient and effective delivery of e-services, improving revenue collections and better dissemination of information on government functions.
To act as a Nodal Agency for coordinating the implementation of NeGP and to achieve the key objectives of Digital India programme, a flagship programme of the Government of India.
e-Industry: Promotion of IT/ITeS industry in the State.
e-Learning: Providing support for escalating IT literacy in the State.
e-Innovation/IT Start-up: Enabling creation of innovation/support eco-system for setting up of IT Start-up industries in the State.
e-Security: Spreading awareness, build capacity to create a cyber resilient IT setup .
e-Inclusion: Promoting the use of ICT for more inclusive growth of the State.
Internet Governance: Enhancing digital connectivity across the State.
